Are you looking for an EYFS Teaching Assistant position in Greenford with an immediate start?
Prebook Recruitment is supporting a welcoming Primary School in Greenford, Ealing, looking to recruit an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant for a long-term position.
The school is ideally looking for someone with previous experience working with young children, particularly within Nursery, Reception or a similar Early Years setting.
Experience supporting phonics and early literacy would be particularly valuable.
EYFS Teaching Assistant – The Role
You will work closely with the Early Years teaching team to support children’s learning, development and confidence.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting learning within an EYFS classroom
- Delivering individual and small-group activities
- Supporting phonics, early reading and literacy development
- Helping children develop communication and language skills
- Supporting early numeracy and problem-solving activities
- Encouraging independence and positive social interaction
- Supporting play-based and adult-led learning
- Providing additional support for children with SEND
- Helping maintain an engaging classroom environment
- Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff
Who We’re Looking For
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience working with children in EYFS or Nursery
- Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Experience supporting phonics or early reading
- Confidence working with individual pupils and small groups
- A patient, enthusiastic and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
